Description
If there is a food more perfect than the strawberry, I don't know what it is. There are a perfect treat straight off the vine or in a never ending variety of recipes.
How perfect are strawberries on top of vanilla ice cream, or with angel food cake? I love them in a spinach salad. Have you ever had dried strawberries? They lose nothing in the dehydrating process.
I wish I could grow my own. I mean, I probably could however I'm not a very good farmer. I planted tomatoes and got two before the poor thing perished. I imagine it would be very rewarding to pick a strawberry off the vine and eat it right where you stand. That's as fresh as it gets!
I will have to depend on the farmer's market to get my fill.
Summer and strawberries; as perfect as life can get!
