Orange juice! The original 'eye opener'. Is anything more refreshing...more healthy...more vitamin filled?

This is painted from a photograph by Lillian Bell. Lillian is nice enough to post her photographs on a website where artists are free to paint them. She has a real talent for still lifes and I was immediately attracted to the strong color and sense of light and shadow in this one.

I'm a child of the sixties and seventies; a time when fashion design was all about bold colors. One of my all-time favorite color combinations was yellow, white and black. Those colors really pop in this arrangement.

A wonderful piece for the kitchen. A healthy reminder to get your vitamin C every day.

Robinson grew up in the midwest and has lived in Arizona with her husband Jeff for more than 25 years. "When we moved to the southwest I was immediately taken with the desert's exotic beauty. Where some see only rocks and dirt, I see majesty. I love the sculptural shapes of the cacti and the way light and shadow plays on their forms." In addition to her contemporary take on southwestern art, Robinson enjoys painting abstracts, unusual objects (check out her robot painting, A Boy and His Dog) and capturing people at play. "Sometimes I feel that there is not enough time in the day to paint everything I want to paint. I'm so captivated by this wonderful, beautiful world.
