I have seen many signs like this for sale online, but I cannot say with any degree of certainty whether or not there was an actual, Chief Paints company. But really...who cares. I love this for the colors and the design. The yellow lettering really pops against the black background and the whole image is set off by the band of red which is acutally part of another sign, but I liked the addition of the red and the white so I left it in - that's what we artist do. The red also brings out the warmer colors in the Chief's headress. Personally...I think this is very, very cool. Hope you do too!
Robinson grew up in the midwest and has lived in Arizona with her husband Jeff for more than 25 years. "When we moved to the southwest I was immediately taken with the desert's exotic beauty. Where some see only rocks and dirt, I see majesty. I love the sculptural shapes of the cacti and the way light and shadow plays on their forms."
