We all have one - our great escape. Lounging in a place that mentally frees you of all worries. Growing up in the midwest our family vacationed in Florida. First on the east coast, then moving to the west. I've loved visiting St. Augustine, Ft. Lauderdale, Amelia Island, Naples and Marco Island. I would like to visit Destin one day and explore the community of Sunrise, it looks beautiful.
Unfortunately I've never made it to the Jersey Shore, Atlantic City or Myrtle Beach. They do seem like fun destinations.
I've stayed in the Outer Banks in North Carolina and enjoyed visiting the many lighthouses in the area.
As an adult and now an Arizona resident, beach vacations mean California. One of my favorite places the is La Jolla. Not only is it beautiful, but I find so much inspiration. Robinson grew up in the midwest and has lived in Arizona with her husband Jeff for more than 25 years. "When we moved to the southwest I was immediately taken with the desert's exotic beauty. Where some see only rocks and dirt, I see majesty. I love the sculptural shapes of the cacti and the way light and shadow plays on their forms."
