Karyn Robinson, Gilbert, Arizona.

I have always admired native American inlay jewelry. The colors are the colors of the great southwest...turquoise blue and sky blue, majestic purple, sunset reds and oranges and forest green.

Karyn Robinson

Robinson grew up in the midwest and has lived in Arizona with her husband Jeff for more than 25 years. "When we moved to the southwest I was immediately taken with the desert's exotic beauty. Where some see only rocks and dirt, I see majesty. I love the sculptural shapes of the cacti and the way light and shadow plays on their forms." In addition to her contemporary take on southwestern art, Robinson enjoys painting abstracts, unusual objects (check out her robot painting, A Boy and His Dog) and capturing people at play.
