It was an interesting time. The age of jazz, bathtub gin, and flappers. If you wanted a drink during the era of Prohibition and you knew the password, you knew where to go...the neighborhood speakeasy. Some were sleazy, some sophisticated, all were illegal.

So which side of the issue of Prohibition would I be? I'd be the girl with the bobbed hair and the rouged cheeks, doing the Charleston on top of someone's table. Pour me another bartender, and make it a stiff one.
