Artist's Description
This is an architectural detail from the pedestrian bright which spans Tempe's Town Lake in Tempe, Arizona.
The bridge provides a connection between the northern and southern shores of the lake allowing thousands of bicyclists, runners and walkers to cross without competing with traffic.
The bridge cost $5.1 million to construct.
Town Lake is one of the state's most visited man-made attractions. This is the first pedestrian-only bridge to span the lake, I'm not sure if another one is planned.

In addition to her contemporary take on southwestern art, Robinson enjoys painting abstracts, unusual objects (check out her robot painting, A Boy and His Dog) and capturing people at play. "Sometimes I feel that there is not enough time in the day to paint everything I want to paint. I'm so captivated by this wonderful, beautiful world. If I can just continue to paint and share my work with...
