Artist's Description
Karyn Robinson, Gilbert, Arizona
It appears this little guy is the last man standing.
I love the play of light in this painting. The late afternoon sun is popping the orange, yellow and gold tones of the terracotta pots and casting a dark shadow from the drooping foliage. At its base the tender succulent is slowly disappearing into the shadows.
This represents my gardening skills to a 'T'. I kill everything. I'm not neglectful; in fact, just the opposite. I have a tendency to love everything to death.

I believe this is a succulent of some sort. The owner probably didn't realize how hot it gets on the balcony, or the window sill in the mid-day sun.
Poor little guy. Give him some love...and a good home...before it's too late.
About Karyn Robinson
Robinson grew up in the midwest and has lived in Arizona with her husband Jeff for more than 25 years. "When we moved to the southwest I was immediately taken with the desert's exotic beauty. In addition to her contemporary take on southwestern art, Robinson enjoys painting abstracts, unusual objects (check out her robot painting, A Boy and His Dog) and capturing people at play. "Sometimes I feel that there is not enough time in the day to paint everything I want to paint. I'm so captivated by this wonderful, beautiful world. If I can just continue to paint and share my work with...
