Iris Bloom - An Ai digital painting created by Karyn Robinson
There's something about this painting of an Iris that almost feels 3D. It feels abstracted, yet very real at the same time. The bloom itself is painted in a heavy impasto style so that the structure of the flower is revealed. The ruffled edges of the petals, so characteristic of irises, seem to jut out of the image showing the detail in the leaves.
It's the kind of painting you can get lost in for a good while, an emerge happy and serene on the other side.
About Karyn Robinson
Robinson grew up in the midwest and has lived in Arizona with her husband Jeff for more than 25 years. "When we moved to the southwest I was immediately taken with the desert's exotic beauty. Where some see only rocks and dirt, I see majesty. I love the sculptural shapes of the cacti and the way light and shadow plays on their forms." In addition to her contemporary take on southwestern art, Robinson enjoys painting abstracts, unusual objects (check out her robot painting, A Boy and His Dog) and capturing people at play.
