Peterbilt Power, photography by Karyn Robinson.
Ever since I was a kid I've loved big trucks, and I found a real beauty one sunny day in Arizona. The bright yellow paint and the shiny chrome glinting in the afternoon sun, all set against the backdrop of an Arizona blue sky...it all came together, taking me back to my Tonka days.
I drive a Miata. Maybe that's why I find this hulking mass so appealing.
Hats off to you, Peterbilt, that's one heck of a machine.
About Karyn Robinson
Robinson grew up in the midwest and has lived in Arizona with her husband Jeff for more than 25 years. "When we moved to the southwest I was immediately taken with the desert's exotic beauty. Where some see only rocks and dirt, I see majesty. I love the sculptural shapes of the cacti and the way light and shadow plays on their forms." In addition to her contemporary take on southwestern art, Robinson enjoys painting abstracts, unusual objects (check out her robot painting, A Boy and His Dog) and capturing people at play.
