Saturday mornings in Gilbert, Arizona always get a good start with a trip to the Farmer's Market, one of the best in Phoenix. Even if you don't cook, the displays of fresh fruits and vegetables are delicious eye candy, especially to a photographer.
Case in point, this tasty display from Agritopia Farms. I love the little chalk boards and the galvanized bins that have been repurposed as a handy display container for the large assortment of organic produce.
Agritopia Farms supplies many of the restaurants in town including Joe's Real Barbecue, Liberty Market and Joe's Farm Grill. (Joe is my hero.)
If you're ever in Gilbert be sure to stop by the market or one of our wonderful restaurants. A great way to start the day.
About Karyn Robinson
Robinson grew up in the midwest and has lived in Arizona with her husband Jeff for more than 25 years. "When we moved to the southwest I was immediately taken with the desert's exotic beauty. Where some see only rocks and dirt, I see majesty. I love the sculptural shapes of the cacti and the way light and shadow plays on their forms." In addition to her contemporary take on southwestern art, Robinson enjoys painting abstracts, unusual objects (check out her robot painting, A Boy and His Dog) and capturing people at play.
